Given:

  • A car consumed 14 litres of petrol in going from town A to Town B.
  • Another car consumed 50 litres of petrol in going from town B to town C.
  • Cost of petrol is ₹75/liter

To Find:

  • Total amount spent on petrol?

Solution:-

We have given that rate of petrol is ₹75/liter. 1st car consumed 14 liter and 2nd car consumed 50liter petrol.

Condition 1st:-

Amount spend on petrol of 1st car = 75 × 14

= ₹1050

Condition 2nd:-

Amount spend on petrol of 2nd car = 75 × 50

= ₹3750

Therefore,

  • Total amount spent on petrol of cars = 1050 + 3750 = ₹4800.
