So x=2.5y

And x=7(y+2)/3 - 2hr 20min is 7/3 hr.

So equating 1 and 2 we have 7y+14 = 7.5y

Or y=28

So initial speed is 28

So x is 2.5y= 70

Which means distance is 2x or 140kms
