a. Find the distance it can cover using 3 1/5 L of
petrol.​

Answer:

Distance covered in 1 litre of petrol by the car = 15km

Distance covered by the car 31/5 litres of petrol = 15 × 3 1/5

= 15 × 16/5 (Here 5 and 15 are cancelled as 5 × 3 = 15).

= 3 × 16

= 48 km
