A car covers a distance of 100 km in first two hours, 120 km in next 1 hour and 32 km in next 1/2 hour. Calculate the average speed of the car in km/h and m/s.

We know that,

Speed = Distance / time

Distance given = 100 kilometer

Time = 5/2 hours = 2.5 hours

First Speed of car = 100km/2.5 hours

First speed of car = 40 kilometer / hour

For second speed:

Distance = 30 kilometer

Time = 1/2 hour = 0.5 hour

Speed = 30 km/ 0.5 hrs.

= 60 kilometer/hour

Average speed of car = 40 kiloneter/hr + 60 kilometer/ hour

= 100 kilometer/hr / 2

Average speed of car = 50 kilometer/hour
