40 kmph is your answer.. ↓↓

Consider the following situation:

Distance to be travelled = 120 km

1/2 distance = 60 km

Now, left distance is 60 km

To travel 60 km at the speed of 60 km/h, Time taken = 1 hour

To travel 60 km at the speed of 30 km/ h, Time taken = 2 hour

Total distance traveled = 120 km

Total time taken for journey = (1+2) hrs = 3 hrs

Therefore Average Speed = total distance ÷ total time taken = 120/3 = 40 km/h.
