Given Distance = 200 km, Time = 2 hr 40 minutes = 2 + 40/60 = 8/3.

We know that Speed = Distance/Time

                                   = 200/8/3

                                   = 600/8

                                   = 75.

Given Speed of jeep = 200/2

                                   = 100.

ratio of speed = 75/100

                        = 3/4

                        = 3:4.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

The ratio of their speed is 3:4

Step-by-step explanation:

Speed is defined as The rate of change of position of an object in any direction. Speed exists measured as the ratio of distance to the time in which the distance was obscured. Speed exists as a scalar quantity as it has only direction and no magnitude.

Given Distance = 200 km, Time = 2 hr 40 minutes = 2 + 40/60 = 8/3.

Speed = Distance/Time

                 = 200/8/3

                 = 600/8

                 = 75.

Given Speed of jeep = 200/2

                 = 100.

The ratio of speed = 75/100

           = 3/4

           = 3:4
