hey friend,

Distance=60km

Time=3 hours

Average Speed of journey=Distance / time = 60/3=20 km/hr

In first 40km, he travels at a speed of 16 km/hr

Time taken by him in first 40 km=distance/speed=40/16=2.5 hr

Time taken in rest of the journey=0.5 hr

speed at rest of the journey=Distance/time=20/0.5=40 km/ hr
