Question:-

A car covers a distance of 715 km at a constant speed. If the speed of the car would have been 10 km/hr more,then it would have taken 2 hours lees to cover the same distance. What is the original speed of the car?

Solution:-

Let the original speed be ' s '

To find speed we use formula

speed = distance/time

Then the time is 715/s

If speed is u + 10, time is reduced to

(715 /u ) - 2 = 715/ ( u + 10)

By solving the value u = 55km/h

Original tme is 13 hours.

and the doped is 65km/h,then time is 11hours.

13 × 55 = 11 × 65 = 715.
