A car covers a semi circular track of radius 5m with a constant speed of π m/s . Find the magnitude of displacement and average velocity

answer

Radius = 5 m

velocity v = πm/s

the displacement is the product speed and time

d = v \times t

the time is

t =  \frac{d}{v}

t =  \frac{\pi \: r}{\pi}

t = r = 5

the displacement of the car is 2r

so.

displacement = 10 m

average \: velocity \:  =  \frac{displacement}{time}

v \: av \:  =  \frac{10}{5}

v av = 2 m/ s
