Answer:

-1.1 m/s^2

Explanation:

initial velocity(u)= 80km/h

convert in m/s

80*5/18

= 22.22m/s

final velocity(v) = 60m/s

convert in m/s

60*5/18

= 16.67

time(t)= 5s

using the equation v=u+at

16.67= 22.22+a*5

16.67-22.22/5=a

a= -1.1m/s^2

Hence the acceleration is -1.1 m/s^2

\huge \mathbb{\underbrace{\red{Question }}}

A car decreases it's speed from 80 km /h to 60 km/ h is 5 second find its acceleration.

\h</strong><strong>u</strong><strong>g</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>{\boxed{\sf </strong><strong>Sol</strong><strong>ution</strong><strong>}}

u = 80kmph ; v = 60kmph ; t = 5sec

Convert kmph to m/s

u = 80 × 5/18 = 22.222m/s

v = 60 × 5/18 = 16.6667m/s

Formula to be used:-

️ ➭ a = v - u/t

️ ➭ a = 22.22 - 16.666

5

️ ➭ a = 5.56/5

️ ➭ a = 1.112m/
