Answer:

hello

Explanation:

u= initial velocity= 80 km/h = 22.2 m/s

v= final velocity = 60 km/h = 16.7 m/s

t= time = 5 s

a= acceleration = ?

a=v-u/t

a= 16.7-22.2/5

a= -5.5/5

Therefore, a=-1.1 m/s^2

Answer:

Deceleration; 1.1 m/s², or simply, -1.1 m/s²

Formula Used:

Accelaration = Difference between the final and initial velocities / time

a=(v-u)/t\\where,\\ v=final velocity\\             u = initial velocity

Calculation:

Given, u = 80 kmph and v = 60 kmph, with the speed difference of 5 secs.

On Changing the speeds into meter per second,

We will get, u = 22.2 meterpersecond, v=16.7 meterpersecond.

Acceleration = (16.7 - 22.2) / 5

                      = -5.5 / 5

                     = -1.1 m/s²

The - sign represents deceleration.

Therefore, The car is decelerated by 1.1 m/s², or simply -1.1 m/s².

Cheers!!!
