Average speed = 40 Km/hr

Average velocity = 0

Explanation:

Given: A car goes from A to B, 100 km, in two hours and returns back from B to A in 3 hrs.

(i) Total distance travelled = A to B + B to A = 100 + 100 = 200 Km

Total time = 2 + 3 = 5 hrs

Average speed = total distance / total time

= 200 / 5

=  40 Km / hr

(ii) Average velocity = displacement / time.

Since the car travels from A to B in one direction and covers the same distance in the opposite direction, the total displacement is zero.

So average velocity is zero.
