Answer:

Centripetal force is given by the expression

Fc=mrω2

=mv2 / r

where

m

is the mass of the object,

v

its tangential velocity and

r

is the radius of curvature.

Now we know that Force

F=m.a

Equating the two we get

Fc=m.ac

=mv2/ r

We obtain Centripetal acceleration

ac=v2/ r

. Inserting given values.

ac=20^2/ 50

=8m/s2
