Hello there,
Given :
u = 10 m/s
v = 0 m/s when t = 2s
As we know
a = (v - u) / (t)
=> at = v - u
=> v = u + at
=> u + at = v
Substituting the given values
=> 10 + (2)(a) = 0
=> 10 + 2a = 0
=> 2a = -10
=> a = ½(-10)
Hence a = -5 m/s².
Hence the car was accelerating with -5m/s².
Hence the car was decelerating with 5 m/s².
The car had a retardation of 5 m/s².
Choose the answer according to the options.
Hope you find my answer useful.
