ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Potential Difference (V) = 12V
  • Current (I) = 0.5A

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Resistance (R)

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

As we know that

→ V = IR

→ 12 = 0.5 × R

→ R = 12/0.5

→ R = 24 ohm

Hence,

  • Resistance of light bulb is 24ohm .

Answer :

  • The resistance of the light bulb is 24 Ω

Given :

  • A car headlight bulb working on a 12 V can battery draws a current of 0.5 A

To Find :

  • The resistance of the light bulb

Solution :

Given that ,

Voltage or Potential difference  , V = 12 V

Current , I = 0.5 A

Resistance , R = ? Ω

Use Ω's law to find the resistance of the light bulb.

⇒ V = IR

⇒ 12 = 0.5 * R

⇒ R = 24 Ω

So the resistance of the light bulb is 24 Ω
