The change in speed is 30 m/s. If it did that in 3 sec, then the acceleration would be 10 m/s^2. If it did it in 1 second, then the acceleration would be 30 m/s^2. If it did it in 300 sec, then the acceleration would be 0.1 m/s. If it did it in 0.003 sec, then the acceleration would be 10,000 m/s^2. Divide the change of speed by the time it took to change the speed by that much and you’ll have the acceleration.
