\bigstar Given

A car initially was at rest and increased its velocity to 8 ms⁻¹ in 80 s

\bigstar To Find

The acceleration

\bigstar Solution

We know that

Equation of Motion

\red{\rm \longrightarrow v=u+at}

Here

  • u = initial velocity
  • v = final velocity
  • a = acceleration
  • t = time

According to the question

We are asked to find the acceleration

Therefore

We must find "a"

Given that

A car initially was at rest and increased its velocity to 8 ms⁻¹ in 80 s

Hence

  • u = 0 ms⁻¹ [initially at rest]
  • v = 8 ms⁻¹
  • t = 80 s

Substituting the values

We get

\blue{\rm \longrightarrow 8=0+(a \times 80)}

\green{\rm \longrightarrow 8=80a}

\purple{\rm \longrightarrow 80a=8}

\orange{\rm \longrightarrow a=\dfrac{8}{80} \ ms^{-2}}

Hence

\pink{\rm \longrightarrow a=0.1 \ ms^{-2}}

Therefore

\checkmark Acceleration = 0.1 ms⁻²

Given

  • A car initially was at rest and increased its velocity to 8 ms⁻¹ in 80 s.

We Find

  • Acceleration of car

We Used

Equation of Motion

= v = u + at

According to the question

= v = u + at\\ \\⟶8=0+(a \times 80) \\  \\ </p><p></p><p>⟶8=80a \\  \\ </p><p>⟶80a=8 \\  \\ </p><p></p><p>⟶a=808 ms⁻²  \\  \\ </p><p></p><p>so.\\  \\ </p><p></p><p>⟶a=0.1 ms⁻² \\ \\  </p><p></p><p>

So, Acceleration is 0.1 ms⁻².
