GIVEN:-

  • \mathcal{Acceleration = 4m/s}
  • \mathcal{Initial\:Velocity = 10m/s}
  • \mathcal{Time\:Taken= 8s}

TO FIND:-

  • The Distance travelled by the car in 8th second after crossing the lamp post.

FORMULAE USED:-

  • {\large{\boxed{\mathbb{S_nth =u +\dfrac{a}{2}(2n-1)}}}}

Where,

S = Distance

u = Initial Velocity

n = Time

a = Acceleration.

Now,

\implies\mathcal{S = u + \dfrac{a}{2}(2n-1)}

\implies\mathcal{ S = 10 + \dfrac{4}{2}(2(8)-1)}

\implies\mathcal{S = 10 + 2 (15)}

\implies\mathcal{ S = 40m}.

Hence, The Distance travelled by car is 40m.
