a=(V-U)÷t

=(0-45)÷5

= -9 m/s^2.

AND NEGATIVE SIGN MEANS THAT THE SPEED IS DECREASING THUS NEGATIVE SIGN INDICATES HERE BRAKING OF CAR AND NOT INCREASING THE SPEED OF CAR.
