Answer:

average speed of car

= total distance covered/ total time taken

total distance covered

= 1352- 1272

= 80 km

total time taken

= 50 min

= 50/ 60 hr

= 80× 50 / 60

= 4×50/3

= 200/3

= 66.6666667km/ hr

Answer: The average speed of car is 96 kmph

Explanation:

Initial reading of speedometer before starting trip = 1272 km

Final reading of speedometer after ending trip = 1352 km

Distance travelled during trip = Final reading - Initial reading

Distance travelled during trip =  1352 km - 1272 km

Distance travelled during trip =  80 km

Time taken for trip = 50 min

Time taken for trip = 50/60 hour

Average speed of car = Total distance ÷ Time taken

Average speed of car = \frac{80}{\frac{50}{60} }  kmph

Average speed of car = \frac{80}{50 }*60  kmph

Average speed of car  =  96 kmph
