velocity is a vector quantity so when it goes north v1=+20m/s
southv2=-20m/s
when we find change in velocity
=v2-v1
-20-20=-40m/s
or v1-v2
=20-(-20)
40m/s
southv2=-20m/s
when we find change in velocity
=v2-v1
-20-20=-40m/s
or v1-v2
=20-(-20)
40m/s
