Answer:

The final velocity is 45m/s

The distance covered by the car is 60m

Explanation:

inutial velocity of the car(u)=18km/h

=18 x 1000m/3600=5m/s

final velocity(v)=?(we have to find)

accelartion of the car(a)=5m/s^2

time taken to accelarate(t)=8 second

using the formula

v = u + at

v = 5m \: per \: second + (5m \: per \: second {}^{2} )(8second)

v =45m \: per \: second

to find the distance covered by the car

\underline{s=ut+1/2at^2}

s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2}

s =( 5m \: per \: second)(8 \: second) +  \frac{1}{2} (5m \: per \: second {}^{2} )(8 \: second) {}^{2}

s = 60m
