A car is moving an a semicircular path of radius 7 km. If it starts from point A and ends at point B in 2hr then find : [4] (i) distance covered by car (ii) displacement of car (iii) speed of car (iv) velocity of car​

Explanation:

(i) Distance covered by car = circumference of the semicircular path

=

 \frac{22}{7}  \times 7 \:  = 22 \: km.

(ii) Displacement of car = Diameter AB = 14 km.

(iii) Speed of car = Distance/time = 22/2

= 11 km/h.

(iv) Velocity of the car = Displacement/time

= 14/2 = 7 km/h.
