Given:-

  • Speed ,s = 54km/h
  • Time ,t = 10min

To Find:-

  • Distance covered by car ,d

Solution:-

According to the Question

we have to calculate the distance covered by car .

Firstly we change the speed into m/s by multiplying 5/18 .

:\implies s = 54×5/18

:\implies s = 3×5

:\implies s = 15m/s

Now, converting the time into second

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀:\implies 1min = 60 s

:\implies 10min = 60×10 = 600s

Calculating the distance covered by car .

  • d = st

where,

  • d denote distance
  • s denote speed
  • t denote time taken

Substitute the value we get

:\implies d = 15×600

:\implies d = 9000m

:\implies d = 9000/1000 km

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀:\implies d = 9km

  • Hence, the distance covered by the car is 9 kilometres.
