Answer:

Initaial velocity= 20m/s

Final velocity= 15m/s

Initaial time= 0m/s

Final time = 2s

Average acceleration=?

we have to find average acceleration,

so, Average acceleration= ∆v/∆t

=Final velocity - Initial velocity/final time - initial time

=( 15 - 20 ) / ( 2 - 0 )

= -5/2 or -2.5 m/s

when an object is slowing down, the acceleration is in the opposite direction as the velocity. Thus, this object has a negative acceleration.
