A car is moving on a straight road at a uniform acceleration. The velocity of the car at different times is given below. Draw its velocity-time graph and calculate its acceleration and also find out the distance covered by it in 30 seconds. t Time (s) 0 10 20 30 40 50 v speed (m/s) 5 10 15 20 25 30

Answer:

(i) Acceleration of the car = slope of AB=10−024−4=1020=2m/s2

(ii) Distance travelled by the car in 10s= area of trapezium OABC

=21×(OA+BC)×OC

=21×(4+24)×10=140m
