A car is moving on a straight road with uniform acceleration. The following table gives the speed of the car at various instants of time. Speed (m/s): 19. 5 20. 10 21. 15 22. 20 23. 25 24. 30 Time (s): 25. 0 26. 10 27. 20 28. 30 29. 40 30. 50 Draw the speed-time graph and determine from it i) acceleration of the car, and (ii) distance traveled by the car in 50 s.

Answer:Graph of the table : Draw X

Answer:Graph of the table : Draw X - axis and Y - axis on the  graph with appropriate scale.

Let 1 cm = 10 s on X-axis

. Let 1 cm = 5 m on Y-axis.

(i) Acceleration means slope of graph AB BC / AC = 30 - 5 / 50 - 0 = 25 / 30 = 0.5 m / s2

(ii) Distance travelled by car = Area of trapezium OABD = 1 /2 (AO + BD) × OD= 1 / 2 (5 + 30) × 50 =

875 m

Answer:

875 m

Explanation:

Graph of the table : Draw X - axis and Y - axis on the  graph with appropriate scale.

Let 1 cm = 10 s on X-axis.

Let 1 cm = 5 m on Y-axis.

(i) Acceleration means slope of graph AB

BC / AC = 30 - 5 / 50 - 0 = 25 / 30 = 0.5 m / s2

(ii) Distance travelled by car = Area of trapezium OABD

= 1 /2 (AO + BD) × OD

= 1 / 2 (5 + 30) × 50 = 875 m

Hope it helps. pls mark as brain list and follow me pls pls pls
