velocity of car = 10 km/h

velocity of bus = 20 km/h

if both are moving in same direction

relative velocity of bus w.r.t car = Vb-(+Vc)

                                                     = 20-10

                                                     = 10 km/h

it means bus covers 10 km more in one hour when compared with car. if car and bus are starting at same point, separation between car and bus after one hour is 10 km

if both are moving away from each other

relative velocity of bus w.r.t car = Vb-(-Vc)

                                                      = 20+10

                                                     = 30 km/h

if car and bus are starting at same point, separation between car and bus after one hour is 30 km
