Solution :-

As per the given data ,

  • Initial velocity = 10 m/s
  • Acceleration = 1 m/s ²
  • Time taken = 10 s

As the car is moving with uniform acceleration throughout it's motion , we can use the first equation of motion in order to find final velocity and second / third equation of motion in order to find distance

As per first equation of motion ,

⇒ v = u + at

here ,

  • v = final velocity
  • u = initial velocity
  • a = acceleration
  • t = time

⇒ v = 10 + 1 x 10

⇒ v = 20 m / s

The final velocity of the car is 20 m/s

As per second equation of motion ,

⇒ s = ut + at² / 2

here ,

  • s = distance
  • u = initial velocity
  • a = acceleration
  • t = time

⇒ s = 10 x 10 + 1 x 100 / 2

⇒ s = 100 + 50

⇒ s = 150 m

The distance traveled by the car is 150 m
