Answer:

intial velocity(u) = 20m/s

final velocity(v) = 0m/s

time(t) = ?

retaradation = 2m/s²

so, acceleration(a) = -2m/s²

a = (v - u)/t

-2 = (0 - 20)/t

-2t = -20

2t = 20

t = 20/2

t = 10s

The time taken by driver to put car at rest is 10 seconds
