A car is moving with a velocity of 90 km/h and it takes 6s to stop after the brakes are applied. Calculate the force exerted by the brakes on the vehicle if its mass along with the passengers is 1500 kg. ​

Speed of car = 90 km/h = 25 m/s

Time taken to stop the car = 4s

Mass of car along with passenger = 100 kg

Acceleration / retardation = -25 /4 = 6.25 m/s^{2}s2 

Force = mass * acceleration  = 100 kg * 6.25 m/s^{2}s2 = 625 N.
