We need to change the Initial velocity in m/s,
- Initial velocity, u = 25 m/s
➞ v² = u² + 2as [Third equation of motion]
Where,
- v = Final velocity
- u = Initial velocity
- a = Acceleration
- s = Distance
➞ Substituting the values,
➞ (0)² = (25)² + 2 × a × 6
➞ 0 = 625 = 12a
➞ 0 - 625 = 12a
➞ - 625 ÷ 12 = a
➞ - 52.0833 = a
- So, the retardation of car is 52.0833 m/s².
