A car is moving with constant velocity of 10 m /s.The driver of the car decides to overtake a bus moving ahead the car. So,the driver accelerates at 20 m/s for 10 seconds. Find the velocity of the car at the end of 10 seconds and also find the distance travelled by the car while accelerating

by first equation of motion
v = u + at
= 10 + 20×10
= 210m/s
distance travelled by car in 10 seconds
s = ut + 1/2 at^2
= 10 × 10 + 1/2 ×20 ×10×10
= 100 + 1000
= 1100m.
