Given

  • Initial Velocity = 0 m/s
  • Acceleration = 2 m/
  • Time = 5 sec

To Find

  • Distance covered by the car

Solution

Here we would be using the second equation of motion, that is, s = ut+½at²

Distance Covered :

→ s = ut+½at²

  • s = Distance = ?
  • u = Initial Velocity = 0 m/s
  • t = Time = 5 sec
  • a = Acceleration = 2 m/s²

→ s = 0 × 5 + ½ × 2 × 5²

→ s = 0 + 5²

→ s = 0 + 25

→ s = 25 m

∴ The distance covered by the body in 5 seconds is 25 m

BrainlyIAS: Correct ur answer . We need to find the distance travelled by the car in 5th second . I.e ., S_5 = u + a/2 (2n-1) or S = ut + 0.5at^2 => S5 - S4

Given:-

\bulletA car is moving with the acceleration 2 m/s from rest

To Prove:-

\bulletFind the distance travelled by the car in the 5 th second

Solution:-

\bulletUsing formula,

  \\ \leadsto{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \bold{s_n =u +  \frac{a}{t} \:  (2n - 1)}}}}}

\bulletSubstitute the value given in the question...

  \\ \leadsto{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \bold{s_1 \: _0 =0 +  \frac{2}{2} \:  (2 \times 5 - 1)}}}}}

  \\ \leadsto{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \bold{s_1 \: _0 =10 - 1}}}}}

  \\ \leadsto{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \bold{ \blue{s_1 \: _0 =9 \: m}}}}}}

\bulletThe distance travelled by 5 th second is 9 m
