velocity in m/ sec=54×5/18=15m/sec
after applying brakes v( final velocity)=0
u( initial velocity)=15 m/sec
t( time)=5 min
as they are in different units we have to convert time in to sec
t=5(60)=300 sec
we know that a( acceleration)=change in velocity/ time
a=0-15/300=-1/20
we know that retardation=-a =-(-1/20)=1/20 m/ sec²
