Part - 1 :

Initial velocity, u = 0

final velocity = v

distance travelled = S

Let acceleration = a

From equations of motion, S = (v² - u²)/2a

⇒ S = (v² - 0²)/2a

S = v²/2a

Part - 2 :

when it continuous to move with the same acceleration and velocity is doubled;

Initial velocity, U = v

final velocity, V = 2v

distance travelled = X

acceleration = a

From equations of motion, X = (V² - U²)/2a

⇒ X = [(2v)² - v²]/2a

⇒ X = (4v² - v²)/2a

⇒ X = 3v²/2a = 3 * (v²/2a)

⇒ X = 3S

Distance travelled is 3S.
