Explanation:

answer....

to find the force...

F=ma

u=0

v=20m/s

t=10s

mass of the car is 200kg

to find the acceleration.....

a=v-u/t

a=20-0/10

a=2m/s²

so the acceleration is 2m/s²

now we will find the force,

F=ma

=200kg×2m/s²

=400N

400N is the answer....

hope it helps....

Correct Question

A car is travelling on a road with velocity of 20m/s and stopped after 10 sec . If the mass of car is 200kg . Find the force.

Given:-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 20m/s

  • Final velocity (v) = 0m/s

  • Time taken (t) = 10 s

  • Mass of car (m) = 200kg

To Find:-

  • Force (F)

Solution:-

Firstly we have to calculate the acceleration of the car

→ a = v-u/t

Substitute the value we get

→ a = 0-20/10

→ a = -20/10

→ a = -2m/s

negative sign show retardation

The acceleration of the car is 2m/s

Now Calculating the Force

→ F = m×a

Substitute the value we get

→ F = 200×2

→ F = 400N

The force acting on the car is 400 Newton.
