A car is traveling at a speed of 36 km/hr upto 72 km/hr in 5 seconds. What is the acceleration ? If the same car stops in 20 seconds what is the retardation of the car​

Case 1:

Initial velocity (u)= 36km/h= 10m/s

Final velocity (v)= 72km/h= 20m/s

Time taken (t)= 5 Seconds

Acceleration= (v-u)/t

20-10/5= 10/5 =2m/s²

Case 2:

Initial velocity (u)= 72km/h= 20m/s

Final velocity (v)= 0m/s

Time taken (t)= 20 Seconds

Acceleration= (v-u)/t

0-20/20= -1m/s²

Retardation= 1m/s-²
