u=8m/s
a=1m/s²
s=18m
v²-u²=2as
v²=2as+u²
v²=2×1×18+8²
v²=36+64
v²=100
v=10m/s
The car is traveling at 10 m/s after 18 m.

The car is travelling at 10 m/s.

Given:

Speed is defined as a distance by time taken to cover a certain distance.

The speed of the car is u

u = 8 m/s (average speed)

a is the acceleration ,

a = 1 m/s (acceleration)

Distance travelled with the acceleration ‘a’

d = 18m (distance)

Now,

Solving for speed

\begin{array}{l}{v^{2}-u^{2}=2 a d} \\ {v^{2}=2 a d+u^{2}} \\ {v^{2}=2 \times 1 \times 18+(8) \times 2} \\ {v^{2}=36+64} \\ {v^{2}=100} \\ {v=10}\end{array}.
