Initial velocity of the car, u = 8 m/s

acceleration = 1 m/s²

displacement, s = 18 m

From laws of motion,

→ v² - u² = 2as

→ v² - (8)² = 2(1)(18)

→ v² = (8)² + 36

→ v² = 100

→ v = 10 m/s

After it accelerates at 1 m/s² for 18 m, It will be travelling with a speed of 10 m/s²

Hope it helps!!
