Given :-

  • A car is travelling at 20 km/h.

  • It speeds upto 60 km/h in 6 seconds.

To Find :-

  • The Acceleration of the Car.

Solution :-

Converting Velocities in m/s ;

 \rm Initial  \: Velocity  = 20 \: km/h \\

 =   \rm\bigg(20 \times   \frac{5}{18} \bigg)m/s \\

 =   \rm \bigg(\frac{100}{18}  \bigg)m/s \\

:\longmapsto \red{ \rm Initial \:  Velocity = 5.56 \: m/s }  \\

 \rm Final  \: Velocity  = 60 \: km/h \\

 =   \rm\bigg(60 \times   \frac{5}{18} \bigg)m/s \\

 =   \rm \bigg(\frac{300}{18}  \bigg)m/s \\

:\longmapsto \red{ \rm Final \:  Velocity = 16.67 \: m/s }  \\

Calculating Acceleration :-

We Have ,

  • Initial Velocity = u = 5.56 m/s

  • Final Velocity = v = 16.67 m/s

  • Time Taken = t = 6 s.

Let Acceleration of car be = a m/s².

We Have 1st Equation of Motion as :

\large \bf \red\bigstar \: \: \orange{ \underbrace{ \underline{ v = u + at }}} \\

Putting Given Values :

:\longmapsto \rm 16.67 = 5.56 + a \times 6 \\

:\longmapsto \rm 6a = 16.67 - 5.56 \\

:\longmapsto \rm 6a = 11.11 \\

:\longmapsto \rm a =  \frac{11.11}{6}  \\

\purple{ \large :\longmapsto  \underline {\boxed{{\bf a = 1.85 \: m/ {s}^{2} } }}} \\

Hence,

\Large\underline{\pink{\underline{\frak{\pmb{\text Acceleration = 1.85 \: m/ {s}^{2}  }}}}}

Answer:

Given :-

  • A car is travelling at 20km/h , it speed upto 60km/h in 60seconds.

To find :-

  • What is its acceleration.

Solution :-

  • Here one thing we should know that,
  • If we should enter to your question we should convert the initial and final velocities in m/s.

  1. Initial velocity: -

  • Initial velocity = 20 km/h
  • (20 \times  \frac{5}{18} ) = ( \frac{100}{18} ) = 5.56 \: m \: per \: sec

2)Final velocity :-

  • Final velocity =60 km/h
  • (60 \times  \frac{5}{18} ) =  \frac{300}{18}  = 16.67 \: m \: per \: sec

□Now, lets enter to question,

  • Here we should calculate acceleration,

  1. Here we should use the formula is equations motion to get the answer.

  • v = u + at
  • Now applying the values we get that,

  • 16.67 = 5.56 + a \times 6
  • 6a = 16.67 - 5.56
  • 6a = 11.11
  • a =  \frac{11.11}{6}  = 1.85 {m \: per \: sec}^{2}

□Therefore,

  • Acceleration =1.85 m/s^2.
