Explanation:

HERE,

u = 20km/hr. = 50/9 m/sec

v = 60km/hr. = 50/3 m/sec

t = 6 sec.

a= ?

By 1st Kinematical equation,

v= u +at

 \frac{50}{3}  =  \frac{50}{9}  + a(6) \\  \\ 6a =  \frac{50}{3}  -  \frac{50}{9}  \\  \\ 6a =  \frac{150 - 50}{9}  \\  \\ 6a =  \frac{100}{9}  \:  m \:  {sec}^{ - 2}

hope it helps. ......
