A car is travelling at 54km/h.If breaks are applied so as to produce uniform retardation of 5m/s square. Calculate the time taken by it to stop.

 speed = 54 x 5/ 18 = 15 m/s 

v-u= at 

t= 15/ 5 

t= 3 sec
