a car is travelling at 72 km/have and when the brakes are applied it experiences a uniform retardation of 2m/s.how long does it take the car to stop and how far does it travel from the instant the brakes are applied??

here is ur answer

v=u+at
v^2-u^2=2as.
Here v=0 as finally car has to stop.
u=72 km/h or 20 m/s.
a=-2 m/s^2(retardation)
Solving above 2 equations give
t=10s
s=100m.
