Answer:

car travels distance S1 with velocity V1 and distance S2 with velocity V2

To Find - Average speed of car

Explanation:

Let t1 be the time taken by car to travel distance S1 and t2 be the time taken by car to cover the distance S2

So,

t1 = S1/V1

t2 = S2/V2

Now,

Average velocity is given as

Vavg = total distance covered/ total time taken

Vavg = S1 + S2 / S1V2 + S2V1/V1V2

Answer : Vavg = (s1 + s2) v1v2 / s1v2 + s2v1
