Initial speed(u)= 25 m/s

Final speed(v)= 0

Time taken to stop(t)=10 seconds

So,By using first equation of motion;

v = u + at

0=25 + (a)10

(a)10 = -25

a = -25/10

a = -2.5 m/²

the retardation will be 2.5 m/s²
