A car left the house and travelled at an average speed of 60 kph,how many minutes will it take for the car to reach the school which is 8 km away? Show full solution

Given:  A car travelling at an average speed of 60 kph.

To find the time taken by car to reach the school which is 8km away.

Solution:  we know the formula for distance

                 ie,  Distance = speed x time

                 then,  Time = (Distance) / (speed)    

                           Time =  8 / 60    

                           Time = 2 / 15 hr

                 Convert time (hr) in Minutes

                  ie,  ( hrs ) x (min / hr) = ( min)

                        = (2/15) x (60/1)

                         = 8 min

  Hence The car reach the school in 8 minutes
