An object or identity is called a living thing when it grows and develop with time, its physical parameters change, they have the ability to reproduce, to eat and breath etc.
Now although a car needs energy to run yet it cannot reproduce cars, cars don’t breathe, infact it simply utilises energy to do some mechanical work, hence car is not a living object rather a machine
