Explanation:

As we know that speed

speed = v =  \frac{distance}{time}

thus the distance covered by the body in the first 15 minutes (= 1/4 hour) with velocity 20 km/hr is

distance = speed × time

= 20 × 1/4 = 5km

In the next fifteen minutes with velocity 60 km/hr

= 60 × 1/4 = 15 km

HENCE total distance = 5 + 15 = 20km
