It has given that, a car moves at a speed of 23 km/h ,is covered the distance of 50 km.
we have to find the time taken by the car to cover 50 km distance.
Solution : We know, speed = distance/time
⇒time = distance/speed
Here , distance = 50 km and speed = 23 km/h
So, Time = 50/23 = (2 + 4/23) hrs
= 2 hrs (4/23 × 60) minutes [ as 1 hr = 60 minutes ]
= 2 hrs (10 + 10/23) minutes
= 2hrs 10 minutes (10/23 × 60) seconds [as 1 min = 60 sec ]
= 2 hrs 10 minutes 26 seconds
therefore time taken by the car to cover 50 km distance is 2 hrs 10 minutes and 26 seconds
